At PocketHustle, we respect your right to control your personal data. This page allows you to request the deletion of your account and all associated data from our platform.
⚠️ Important Information:
• Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone
• All your tournament history, wallet balance, and personal data will be permanently deleted
• Transaction records may be retained for up to 7 years as required by financial regulations
• Public comments and content may remain visible even after account deletion
• Deleted account information may be retained in backups for up to 90 days
How to Request Account Deletion
Option 1: Request via Email (Recommended)
Send an email to privacy@pockethustle.com with the following information:
- Subject: Account Deletion Request
- Your registered email address (the one associated with your PocketHustle account)
- Your full name (as it appears on your account)
- Confirmation statement: "I confirm that I want to permanently delete my PocketHustle account and all associated data."
We will process your request within 30 days and send you a confirmation email once your account has been deleted.
Option 2: Delete Account from Mobile App
If you have access to the PocketHustle mobile app, you can delete your account directly:
- Open the PocketHustle app
- Go to your Profile page
- Scroll to Account Settings
- Tap on Delete Account
- Confirm the deletion
What Data Will Be Deleted?
When you request account deletion, the following data will be permanently removed:
- Your account profile information (name, email, phone, bio, profile picture)
- Your tournament participation history
- Your wallet balance and transaction history (after regulatory retention period)
- Your gift and sponsorship records
- Your notification preferences and settings
- Your authentication credentials
What Data May Be Retained?
For legal, regulatory, or operational reasons, the following data may be retained:
- Financial Records: Transaction records may be retained for up to 7 years as required by financial regulations in Nigeria
- Public Content: Comments, posts, or other content you've shared publicly may remain visible to protect the integrity of ongoing tournaments
- Backup Data: Deleted account information may be retained in backups for up to 90 days
- Legal Requirements: Data required for legal proceedings, fraud prevention, or regulatory compliance
Processing Time
We will process your account deletion request within 30 days of receiving it. You will receive a confirmation email once the deletion is complete.
If you have an active wallet balance, we may contact you to arrange for withdrawal before account deletion.
